Thank you so much to all who participated, looked, commented. The images posted were windows into not only some of our favorite photo subjects and techniques, but also glimpses of the important people, places and events in our lives. I treasure those tidbits as much as the remarkable images.

My finale would be 2 of my favorite landscapes from 2023. The first was on a humid foggy morning with a hot sun piercing the fog. The hues were soft and golden. I chose to finish it with an oil paint PS filter. The second was the first landscape I took with my iPhone 15 pro max. It was a Fall evening and the sky was multicolored and the air so clear it was possible to see the mountains many miles away.
Thank you so much to all who participated, looked,... (show quote)

Both are very nice, I love the misty one.

For the past few years I have been working on two bodies of work - flower closeups and color infrared photos. Here are my 5 favorites of each for the year. All of them were shot in Golden Gate Park. I have come to realize the most important factor for me in both is color.

Excellent work, really like the IR shots. Is that how they came out camera, or was there some specific post-processing done?
What IR setup are you using? I planning to get a conversion done later this year, and am working on deciding exactly what to ask for.

Beautiful job - and it's always best to stand to the side of an icicle and look at it than to stand under it and look up 😜😜😜😜😜

Well, still have power. High tide soon and already a lobster boat has run aground off a spot well known to us and Coast Guard rescued 4 crew. The boat had been out during night and was trying to get back to harbor - didn't make it. Can't imagine being the Coast Guard working this storm.... Wind is picking up.

Here are a few more favorites from last year.

Gorgeous 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 Is that structure on Mount Battie a Templar tower
