I have handguns and one shotgun within reach no matter where I am in my house. I can have them in my hand and ready to take care of the situation in less than 10 seconds. I live out in the sticks so I am more secure than those living in cities. The day before we moved into our present home someone broke in and stole tools I was working with. The next night I slept at the house with a 45 at my side. I have had others come to my door asking very unusual questions so I send them packing. For Krakhead to think someone is afraid because they choose to be prepared is silly. Our neighbors, both retired Coast Guard, were murdered in their home 2-3 years ago.

It takes a good second to rack a round as I keep the mags loaded and inserted but nothing chambered. I've got a 45 and 12 guage close to the bed, a 40 s&w in the tv room and my wife keeps a 9 in her nightstand. I made a range a couple of years ago on our property so we practice quite a bit.

My H&Ks have 1 in the chamber and since they're double action, unlikely accidential discharge.

If Trump gets in you can go and try out all your guns.

How odd you are in your thinking. I have no problem NOW in shooting every gun I own when I want to. Friends who own machine guns have no problem either. Why bring up Trump at all. He isn't the problem and he believes in the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment.

Just any excuse for you to be proud of Trump, the one who lives rent free in the spot where your brain used to be.
You are so cute; kind of like watching a puppy licking its ass and you wonder what on earth is it thinking.

Sounds great if you're trying to catch criminals but the gov't isn't going to restrict it to just criminals. For all I know they (the gov't) probably already do it just like with

Isn't it just like the Left Wing government to want to CONTROL every aspect of our lives? Imagine the damage they can do, the spying on We the People IF they had control of our money. With paper money we have control over our finances. With digital money everything can change whenever the government want to make any changes it wants.

As long as you don't shoot. Keeping and bearing don't mean shooting. So no ammo for you!

Well my BFF as you know the Left is already doing or attempting to control firearms in just that manner either by forcing Americans to pay incredibly high taxes or by regulating the sale of ammunition. I think it was Effate who stated he had a number of rounds and reloaded. I am in the same position with ample cases to reload, bullets, primers and powder. 20,000 cartridges might be a pittance to some but it is a good amount to my eyes. Did I mention various calibers too. Barring any unforeseen circumstances started by a violent Left Wing government I should have enough to last for a while.

I think if this particular subject matter ever hits the desk of SCOTUS you would find that court siding with the 2nd Amendment and We the People.

You on the lying corrupt Left continue saying and thinking, You don't need 20 cartridges to kill a deer, you don't need a lot of firearms to fight back against muggers or home invaders. But hunting and self protection have nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment. It was enacted for just such a situation as when the government starts thinking it is in charge of We the People, thinking it can take away our rights in the Constitution as the Biden Administration of CLOWNS is already wanting to do. THAT is when you will hear the full roar of the 2nd Amendment coming to life just as in 1776. Personally I pray that will never happen. It won't be a pretty sight for America. But as Thomas Jefferson stated, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Let's pray Americans can iron out our differences before that comes to happen.

Too late, 20K rounds (not counting rimfire) and reloading equipment

Sounds great to me. For some hard core target shooters that is maybe a piddling amount but it would serve my needs quite well.

Stop whining and bitching. If you are sick go to a doctor. I think one specializing in severe Mental Health disorders along the lines of TDS might be just the ticket.

One would think there is not much you can post anymore that does not lead you right down the garden path to FOOLishness.

I know you walk the mean streets of Barry’s Bay but are obviously clueless as to the extraordinary hoops Californians have to jump through just to buy ammo so I bought in bulk before laws changed. Turned out to be a great investment. Liberal gun laws or the threat thereof have always been the best marketing tool for the gun industry.

Exactly RIGHT. They say Bill Clinton and Barack Obama sold more firearms than any other person on the planet. Biden is really too stupid to be taken seriously but I am sure he might come in a distant 4th or 5th.

That would be a complete disaster. Of course most of what government has it's hands in is a catastrophe. I can't imagine.

There isn't much the government touches that does not end up in failure, post office, Amtrak, present decisions that
negatively affect our military and so on.

Too bad it rarely happens that way. It is more likely that the owner's 5 year old son played with the owner's loaded and improperly stored gun and accidentally shot himself, or the owner in a drunken rage used the gun to shoot a relative, friend, or neighbor.

Did you NOT read about the guns in safes? Or are you just willfully parroting a position?

1. I have very few guns, yet they all (except for the one I carry full-time; which is lodged in a gun-safe next to the bed at night) are locked away.

2. There are no juveniles in or around this house — so THAT argument does not, as they say, carry water.
