Infra Red in Union, Washington.
Here are a few Infra Red Shots from Union, Washington, over the last few days. One reason I was there was to watch a "Polar Plunge" that I think made for a kind of surreal shot . . . The camera is as entry level IR as you can get - a converted point & shoot Canon PowerShot ELPH 180
#'s 2 & 7 look like plain B & W.
Looks good.
Do you process them? I use Rob Shea's actions.
You should try some colour work on these
I just open them as monochrome images, then do basic edits on them. In the past i've messed with increasing and decreasing the different color channels, and thanks for reminding me about that. With the red filter on the lens, there is no color to speak of, just a monochrome image, that is either purple or red looking. I haven't really experimented without the red filter on, which would give me some color to play with. I might do that . . . I've always preferred "black & white" infrared images, but occasionally I see a "color" one I like. Thanks for looking.

The red or purple images you mention are what you start with. If you next do the red-blue channel swap, the image will drastically change. And after doing the swap, try adjusting the red, blue and green sliders a bit and see that you can fine tune the resultant colors.
Next when done with the channel mixer, try adjusting temp and hue adjusts.
And also try reducing saturation if the color is too strong.
I do vaguely remember playing with the color swap procedure in the past, and not getting results to my liking. But now you've got me thinking it's time to revisit that. Thanks for the follow up.

I saw that one online! I love the look, but for my taste, I would love a little more contrast 🤍🤍🤍🤍
