My question was, why doesn't that illegal alien who killed a woman and her son simply claim asylum? This is his 4th time being apprehended. Why didn't he claim asylum after the first time? Hell, according to you the immigration people would give him a court date well after 2030 and release him into America. No need for him to sneak in over and over when he would have a court date and authorization to be here pretty much forever.

I love your post. The first part is more in line with what is really going on in the Democratic Socialist Party. The fuhrer, Biden, is following right along in the footsteps of Adolph Hitler and of course Obama in going along with blaming the OTHER political party for making things worse in America. Of course Hitler had the Jews to fall back on while Obama and Biden used the Conservatives/Republicans to portray as evil, as wanting to bring America down while it is they, the Left Wing Socialists, who more accurately fill that bill.

My section posted about illegal immigtion does state that anyone crossing the border needs permission. lil denny can post his asylum version all the live long day but it is STILL illegal to come into America without permission. That would make those who crossed the border at Biden's invitation ILLEGAL aliens. Illegal because they are not here legally with permission.

You may not have noticed but there are millions of those illegal aliens in America right now and the number is growing daily as the CLOWNS in Biden's cabinet continue to do nothing except tell us all is going as planned and there is nothing going wrong. America cannot handle this literally record breaking number of illegal aliens crossing into America. Have you noticed even the Democratic Mayors across America are unable to handle the growing numbers? They do not have the funds to pay for these people. Most legal aliens come to America with a skill, you know, doctors, lawyers, teachers, brick layers, SOMETHING to make them prosperous in America without my tax dollars, yours too, needed to take care of 100% of their needs for a few years. THESE illegal aliens are coming across with no skills, absoutely nothing to sustain their needs except for American tax dollars to take care of them. But what of our own homeless people, what of veterans needing care and homes. Their needs are being left in the dust as the Left Wingers think ONLY of taking care of illegal aliens. The immigration laws and processes are not set up to handle the surging numbers of migrants looking to escape their current circumstance. Some are coming because of natural disasters, some are coming due to political persecution, some are coming for economic advantages. There are rules for each subsection. This has created a backlog of cases for those that are awaiting immigration status determination. That number is over 2 mil with another 1 mil added to it each subsequent year for a current total over 11 mil. "Unauthorized/undocumented " some of whom are "illegal", but no way of knowing how many because the "non-apprehended" is an unknown

There needs to be a three-pronged approach.
1 - deal with all of the unauthorized who have overstayed their visa dates
2 - develop a better process for those who are currently authorized to be here (DACA, Dreamers, designated asylum seekers and refugees).
3 - develop a better process of authorized entries and set up triaging for new arrivals by setting up offices in their home countries to avoid the surges

It's been that way for a very long time, yet the number of unauthorized hasn't changed that much from one administration to another. Making it a political football has not solved anything. It is unsustainable. What restrictions do you believe are fair?

I don't necessarily disagree with you BUT the numbers since Biden took office make it impossible to check these people. Let's say as many as 5000 come through a check station in one day. Please explain to me how every one of these people can be checked to insure they are not a threat to America, are not bringing in diseases to this country from their country, are REALLY legally asylum seekers. To my knowledge coming here for economic advantages is not a valid reason to seek asylum. Political persecution is already right here in America with POS Biden doing all he can to make it appear Conservative Americans are a threat to America. Yeah, we have our own political persecution with Obama and now Biden weaponizing the FBI and DOJ to persecute not only the Trump family but also Christians, those who want to have a say in their children's education and so on. Please do not waste my time telling me I am wrong. I am not wrong. This is happening in America thanks to Obama and Biden. Yet nothing is done about it.

You tell me the numbers of immigrants has not changed and yet every few days I hear of a New Record amount of illegals coming across the border. Doesn't that mean to you the numbers coming across now are much greater than those of the Trump administration?

I presented the stats to you and there are no fluctuations from the trajectory of incoming migration based on Democratic versus Republican administrations.

And there are more coming - and it will continue to increase on the same trajectory of the last 20 years. You can pepper with the political football or decide to back the HR bill that the senate has to approve and Biden says he'll sign if the funding is there. Biden has been putting things forth since Feb. 2021, the House supplied a bill within the last few months and now it's up to the senate. Put the responsibility for the solutions where they belong.

All those thousands (millions) entering are currently claiming Asylum status AS THEY ENTER the country. They enter, claim asylum, and are processed and released. (And according to law, they may be processed and released into the country. They have up to ONE YEAR from entering the country to claim asylum).

Now THIS is one thing I cannot fathom — if they come in, turn themselves in to authorities, yet do not claim asylum, WHY ARE THEY RELEASED INTO THE COUNTRY?

Current asylum-status laws (UN treaty obligations) AND interpretations by Biden, Mayorkas, et al, provide ASYLUM request may be made by entree’s. Those crossing “turn themselves in” to authorities of ICE/CBP and are processed (photographed, fingerprinted, maybe otherwise scanned, perhaps (hopefully) DNA tested).

This allows the administration to essentially BYPASS standard immigration procedures, in the guise of following “Treaty Obligations”, and the backlog of processed new-arrivals are given some “report-in-future” assessment date and released into the country. THAT “release” procedure is what seems so broken and ridiculous.

LEGALLY they are complying with the law as interpreted/written.
LEGALLY they are not “illegal aliens”. Aliens, yes. Undocumented aliens, yes. Foreign aliens, yes.
But after claiming a status (Refugee, Asylum, Immigrant, &c.) they are “recognized” and are no longer “illegal”!

Which is a manner in which to comply with the distortion of the actual law. If they claim asylum upon entry, they are no longer considered “illegal”.

Therefore within that interpretation of law, the only true “Illegal Aliens” are those that knowingly bypass border controls and are smuggled in or attempt crossings. These persons willfully commit a criminal act, and are not allowed (according to ICE/CBP) to request asylum.
