When I go to the ice cream store I don't order chocolate because I don't like chocolate. I choose a different flavor, but I don't harass the owner and other customers, trying to get them to stop ordering chocolate.

You really hit the nail on the head on this one ,also I love your response! I guess gvarner wanted a reaction so he really got one. Problem is he doesn't know his audience at all as 99 44/100% of the Ugly Hedgehog people are very intelligent and also have a lot of common sense. I don't think he is stupid either but again he got the reaction he wanted ! I'll say a prayer for him, seems like he needs one !

I don't pay attention to the various forums, in general... I just go down the list and pick items that look interesting... I like the technical write ups, the cartoons, and photo stacking, but look at others to see what photos are posted. If I post something, it's generally in the wrong forum, and the moderator moves it. I'm not a pro, but this is a great site.

Why would you want to eliminate something that so very many other people enjoy and learn so much from? If photography is your whole world, that is troublesome. I've gotten answers to everything from computer issues to what is the best product to buy in a specific category. The Chit Chat is an invaluable resource for many people who do not want to join online social sites like Facebook, Instagram, etc. If it bothers you, ignore it, but don't spoil it for other members who enjoy having a place to ask questions or share a joke or something out of the ordinary of a newsy nature.

For some people, UHH serves a purpose beyond photography; it is a way to connect with others. Its difficult to put value on this for someone who may be in an area or situation where there is insufficient contact with others. If ChitChat is a forum that brings enjoyment or comfort to some, but not you, it is simple enough for you to block it or simply not watch it. I do not watch most of the forums on UHH. Its not difficult not to watch. You ought to try it.
