Has anyone figured out how to resume watching a recording at the point where you last stopped, with YouTube TV's online DVR? Seems to be lots of complaints online about the lack of this option, but am wondering if I just haven't found the light

Thanks!

Not a subscriber, but I bookmark the time where paused/stopped; when resuming drag the cursor to the bookmark and press 'Play.'

Go to Home and it should show your last shows watched - select and watch
That’s what I do

When you go to home, you have three choices, live a middle choice and then your library. It’ll either be in your middle choice or the library.

An intriguing idea, but clicking the link takes me to the beginning of the video, not the place where I stopped it.

How do I press "play" instead of the usual click of mouse to open a bookmark?

Under "Home" on the YouTube TV app are "top picks for you," and suggested content similar to what I'm already subscribed to (sports and a coupe of shows), and then a few misc. categories like "news."

Under "top picks" are recent recordings, but opening one presents the same issue as when I go to the Library: the video starts at the beginning.

The Library is where I find all my recordings; however, when I click on a recording I previously started and then paused, I am taken back to the beginning of the recording.

Thanks anyway.

A lot has to do with the year we were born you and I Linda were born 30 years too soon. ** My friend Shane, has her iPhone linked to my TV and manipulates the e-world masterfully. yes I watched a movie I was watching in chunks and then lost it and only 20 min left. If linked to my computer "history" would have had it and with a click it would be back. OK time for me to take lessons from my youthful friend Shane... The brain of the young are linked to the e-world... even tho she has no Tesla Neuralink.

**Born 30 Years Too Soon: "A masterpiece cartooning achievement, Out Our Way, the “Born Thirty Years Too Soon” series was nostalgic for the world of thirty years earlier, so reading it now is a multi-layered, time-travelling journey into the world of fin-de-siècle America seen through the perspective of its then grown generation.

Hmmm, not sure why - here is a snapshot of my top picks - note the Twilight Zone red line about half way - the next shot is when I opened the video - it started about half way. I don’t know if it’s a setting - it’s always done that for me.

top picks with Twilight Zone progress bar at 1/2 way
top picks with Twilight Zone progress bar at 1/2 w...

Twilight Zone progress
Twilight Zone progress...

Thank you so much! I will investigate further. Are your screen prints from a computer? If yes, which browser?

Yes - my MacBook - browser is DuckDuckGo. I also went to my tv and got the same results.

Success! After another Help search using "resume watching", I was directed to settings, where I found a place to enable "watch history" (thought that was only related to YouTube, not the TV subscription).

On the Home page now, I have a row of "Top Picks for You," and a row of NFL games with the header "Free Preview of NFL Sunday Ticket." Finally, the third row down is "Resume watching" and contains the two I just tested.

Have no idea why mine doesn't look like yours, but at least the problem appears to be solved. Thank you so very much!!

Sometimes I just make a note of what I was watching when I have to leave it early and the time I stopped watching. Then when I want to resume, I just call up the video and move the time slider over to the time I stopped and resume watching. This seems to work for me. Actually I will start watching a few second early so I get back into the continuity of whatever it was I looking at.
