Well, if you look close, it says 1750 on the trunk lid & front license plate.

Not much help on the placard.

From what I understand, in 1968, the 1600 engine was replaced with a 1750cc power plant and “1750” was added below the Alfa rear badge. I would love to have one in spite of the Magneti Marelli electricals, but I’d change that exhaust to a dual outlet Ansi. Alfa made the Duetto up until 1993, but after the series 1 shown above, they gave it a squared off “Kamm” tail and ruined the beautiful stying in my opinion.

It's called a Duetto Spyder. Had one (with rollbar) but never raced. A bit sloppy in the handling department, when cpmpared to my 356 Super coupe or the GT-3 Volvo 122 (both raced).

I think part of that information may be flawed. I own a 63 Alfa Romeo Spider 1600 known also as a Giulia Spider 1600. Aren't the boat tails all known as duetto spiders?

I bought a new Alfa Spider in 1969 for $4350.00. Mint is worth at least 10 times that amount now.

Duetto is referring to DUAL WEBER Carburetors whereas the '69 had Spica fuel injection. I owned a '69 for 17 years. Great car even with a few problems.
