GREAT NEWS!

A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. After three operations and treatment (and six months out from the last operation) I went in today for a checkup. As of now, I am cancer free. I had been dreading this appointment.

What a great way to start the New Year. Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord indeed!
We are so happy for you, and your Great News makes me . . .

Onward and upward!! Congratulations!
I had bladder cancer twice - two operations. The recoveries were long and painful. I am cancer free now and feel great!

Hopefully you had stage one (bladder surface only and no muscle invasion). If muscle invaded than you would need to have your bladder replaced and your prostate removed to prevent tumor recurrence in the urethra The bladder can be reconstructed with a segment of the small intestine. Hopefully you didn't need this more extensive treatment as a dear friend of mine did require that (also chemotherapy).
