What do you have.
Think tank sling bag
Holds a couple bodies and lenses plus filters and cards and speedlights and spare batteries. When zipped up you can sling it onto your back for easy travel. You can move it around to rest on your stomach, where the bag is horizontal and you can zip it up and rest your elbows on it. Has a couple pockets for paperwork.
Don't recall when I got it, probably around 2012.
I have a Sony Backpack. I have used a sling bag for just the camera. They don't distribute the weight as even as a backpack and don't carry the gear I typically carry with me. Its all personal preference.

for me it was always in the way , I ordered a vest just yesterday to see how that works.
I use a Tarmac Velocity 9 bag. I bought it used from KEH, it was classified as a bargain, I had to buy the dividers from Tarmac. Since then, I have bought a smaller one, but I don't use it much. The 9 is large and easy to use.
I have tried other sling bags; I have several that I don't use. I use backpacks or shoulder bags.

I use an over-one-shoulder sling bag for my MFT gear: camera, 4 lenses, flash, shutter remote, spare batteries & memory and a cleaning kit.

Which bag and model do you use? I have MFT and would love a good sling bag to carry more than a camera and two small lenses.
