Adorama, Amazon, it is all the same. Large companies making $$$. They have to serve folks honestly or word gets around quickly. I have dealt with both and never been burned. It might happen but not yet! Just remember your dollars will go towards some exec's golden parachute or Steve Bezo's luxury sailboat. Capitalism is not a charity, it's a business. Keep both eyes wide open and question the questionable. Good luck.

Reading this thread is pretty funny. The word "THEY" is used in multiple posts, without any mention of which "THEY" the poster is referring to. Very narrow focus on the part of some.

Given a choice...I buy from Adorama before Amazon...except perhaps with accessories.

I think we all have the choice.

I buy a lot from Amazon. Anything I am interested in buying, I search Amazon first and more than likely buy from them even though I can buy directly from the seller. The seller makes money too.

I do not think it costs me more to purchase from Amazon rather than direct from the seller.

Several reasons for this.
1) Free shipping.
2) Delivery of the product into my garage to eliminate theft by porch pirates.
3) the most important one, returns are no issue. No paying for returns.
Amazon vets their sellers and they have to adhere to Amazons policies.

I have returned a lot for many various reasons. I have always received a refund, credit or replacement. If there is an issue I get a call back almost right away. That’s what keeps me coming back.

Just sharing my experience in dealing with choices.

There are some negative reviews on Adorama. They actually sent me an email to help them out and to write a review because they had received bad reviews. I suggest that you buy from B&H.

I believe I got a fee change like one time when I went to return something that I made a mistake in ordering. Other than that, as long as my return was legit, I have never been charged a return fee.
But good information to know. I had not seen the article which looks like it goes back to April.

I have no problem trusting Adorama. I have dealt with them many times over many years.
They are a reputable company, one of the best.
They also sell Godox products under their trademark name of flashpoint.
The advantage of buying these items from them, is that they service what they sell. Godox repairs without buying from adorama, have been a problem for many users.
Although, I have more than a dozen bigger units from both Godox and adorama’s flashpoint and never experienced a need for service.
I am a working pro, and I use them hard and often.

So I am looking at an item on Amazon. It states the seller is Adorama. I have never purchased anything from Adorama. Free shipping and free returns via Amazon is a benefit. Would anyone share their experience please. I did a search on Adorama but the posts were old. Thanks.

They are a good outfit and as long as YOU stay within their guidelines they are good for their word. Have used them as often as necessary. Good Luck

I disagree with most

I HAD A HORROBKE EXPERIENCE with them. It was years ago and item was around $25.00 item, there was a issue and when I called I got the run around from hell. This was over a $25.00 item. Never resolved.
I will never ever use them again. This was years ago and I've bought 3 cameras and 3 telescopes, few lens, from other dealers costing them my business for life. Too shady for me

Anecdotal examples are just that.
You don't become one of the largest camera stores in the world by screwing over customers.

I recently bought a Sony camcorder...the first one that uses interchangeable E mount lenses...came bundled with 2 lenses...one on the camcorder (which was shown)...ranges around 200 dollar lens (kit lens)...and in the included description was an 800 dollar lens as well.
Whole thing...camcorder and 2 lenses...200 dollars...in excellent condition.

I figured it was a mistake...and left it alone...but the next day...there it was still...so I ordered it.

It came with the 200 dollar lens as shown in the illustration. I contacted them in a very polite way...no attitude...just a...what happened?

They stayed in touch with me over the next few days because obviously they had made a marketing snafu.

After a week, they informed me that it was impossible to give me that lens...which I was completely expecting and understood.

What they did do is credit my account 50 dollars for the inconvenience.

I was completely satisfied...since I am a reasonable person.

Just another anecdotal story...
