Very, very good, APL.

But that's just with regard to your images. Apart from that, two suggestions. First, do not hug the desert (i.e., the saguaros). Second, if you do hug the desert (which may also have chollas and prickly pears and barrels and such along with the saguaros who watch and wait for you) do not be surprised if the desert wants to break your other arm. Or worse. Deserts --even deserts at the corner of two busy roads-- are mean like that sometimes.

Ah, so true. I learned early on that no matter how cute those teddy bears, one must not hug, kiss, touch, or even stand in near proximity!

Thanks, by the way.

Thanks. It has always been one of my favorite places. I just haven't been driving that area for awhile.

A fine set, Kathy. I broke my arm as a kid. It sucks. I hope you heal quickly.

The whole set is wonderful, especially the saguaro.

I went to Tohono Chul in Tucson. It's such a lovely little park. Its name in Tohono O'odham means "desert corner," and that's exactly what it is. It's a small corner of two very busy roads that offers peaceful respite. Its plants are desert (translation: cactus). I hadn't been here in probably 30 years. It used to be free!

I have trouble typing after breaking my arm, but I'd love to receive your comments. I'll try to respond.

Lovely photos! When I look above the "eyes" in #5, (the rare cactus), I see the tall, entire face of the cactus queen wearing her crown; small squinty/haughty eyes, nose, & puckered mouth. Anyone else see it?

Wonderful set of images. Sorry to hear about your arm but your shooting finger is doing just fine.

We have lived in Dove Mountain for the past 21 years and Tohono chul is a lovely spot. We have eaten at their cafe several times and just generally enjoy ourselves along with the guests that come with us. The photos are very pleasing to look at. Thanks and Happy New Year
