Gee Wiz, the older I get, the faster time "flies" by so what better way to start the new year than to catch a fly on the window and stage it for a focused stacked session. Although this was my first fly of the new year, it may be the last one that I find until warm weather returns.
This session was staged with a Mitutoyo 10X Microscope Objective (M PLAN APO) as the optic for the camera mounted on a Nikon 200mm f/4 AF-D Macro used as the tube lens for the infinity-style objective.
Your amazing detail is great, Gary.
Great start to the new year.

Great New Year to you and thank you for all the pictures in the past. I love your pictures and admire your productivity.

Nice job Sippy, I don't think there is any part of a fly that isn't ugly
Excellent. Time has flown by faster every year for me, sippy.
Beautiful as usual. How long does this process take - start to finish?? Happy and healthy new year Gary.
Nothing short of spectacular.
