TechSpot. Office 2021 Lifetime license no subscription. I got it, I use it, works fine. Be careful when you order to select Mac or Windows as appropriate.

Thanks for the information.

You need to make sure that if you buy a new computer you can install the software on the new computer.

I use Office 2010 on all my computers except one. I paid $10 for it. It's a promotion from Microsoft to sell it cheap to the employees of my company. Now, it's a bit tricky to activate it if you need to install it on another computer. On the Lenovo laptop I have a copy of Office 2009 a very small suite. It only has Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

Office 2021 for $40. I have bought from them several times. Correction: I just notice that you said Mac, this is for PC. Office for Mac is not so cheap:

Softwarehubs is a Microsoft Certified Reseller, and this is completely legit (you will actually get the license from Microsoft itself, and install it into your Microsoft account). I have gotten Office from other "Grey Market" resellers in the past for ~$20, but in a year or so, it may or may not still be working.

You may want to do as I have done. I have a Mac, but I have added MS-Windows to it. The people at Apple guided me along the way. I did have to purchase a separate copy of the Windows OS system. I'm able to switch back and forth between both operating systems if I desire, but I mainly us Windows. In the past I had purchased Microsoft Office Professional. The new version that I now have on my computer is not quite at that level. However, Microsoft offered a free version of Office 365 which I did download but have not really used.

I'm not sure what your needs are, but be careful. Not all versions do the same thing. When I had the full version of Excel I was able to do quite a bit more than what I'm able to do with the current version. One example is that the current version that I have will not copy the template of one file that has data into a new blank file.

Do you need Word? Can you download a program called 'Libreoffice' for the Mac. This is a Word like suite that offers nearly all the equivalents of Microsoft Office, but is freeware. It's an excellent substitute. I've been using it for a decade.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I quit using Microsoft Office when they started the subscription model. Libre Office meets all of my (office related) needs.

Check Apple's app store. They have a legitimate Microsoft Word for the Mac. A Microsoft 365 subscription is $69.99.

If you want a legit app that's low cost and compatible with Word, I suggest LibreOffice. You can get LibreOffice from the Apple app store for $8.99, or you can download it for free from the libreOffice site (libreoffice.org).

Using the App store, you'll get easy updates. You'll need to check for and get updates thru the software if you download from LibreOffice.

Thanks for the information.

Just wondering, y'all. If you send a libre office document to somebody will they be able to open it? That's the thing about Microsoft Office. Everybody, well, except for Apple users, has it and can open them. That's why the business world uses PC's.

I believe MS Office suite can open libreoffice documents.

Happy New Year. I hope we all have an interesting 2024
I need a copy of Word and Powerpoint for Mac. On the web, I found a number of places that sell earlier versions of Microsoft Office, for example, for a very low price. "Shop Win & Office" sells the Office Home and Business 2021 for $49.99. Has anyone purchased and used something like this? Are they legit?

Yes they are legit and I have two copies installed on my own and my wife's Macs. Word, Excel, Powerpoint are and only parts I use. Microsoft updater notifies me when there are updates available.
