I have finally gotten off my …duff… and updated the firmware on my D850. Can now use CF express B. I know there have been posts about card brand preferences, but my search hasn’t found what I’m looking for. Any suggestions? Merry Woofmas!

Can’t speak to the card question, but that’s a damn cute shot.

You could check your D850 manual. Nikon usually recommends specific cards for their cameras.
I'd like to see the responses you receive, as I have yet to update the firmare in my D500 to accept CFxpress B. I've used exclusively Sandisk sd cards for my Nikon cameras for the past 10 years or so, with NEVER a problem! About 150K shots currently on this camera!!
Yeah. I've never seen any reason to go with anything but SD cards in my D850's. I first started out in digital with a D200 which used only CF cards. Nothing wrong with them, but nothing wrong with SD cards either. And they are cheaper!
Yeah, yeah...I know about the second slot. Mine stays empty!

The 850 manual was written many years before CFE cards were invented.
Great pooch shot, for CF Express, only SanDisk.

That's why I posted a link to the current information.
