I question the information you have posted. Further down in this series, someone suggested looking at Charity Watch to determine if a charity is worthy of your support. So, I looked up Goodwill, which you say is not worthy of support. Charity Watch gives it an "A" rating, and states that it $98 of every $100 they raise goes for charitable purposes. That seems to be at odds with what you have posted. I have not bothered to look up all of these charities, but question the information you have posted.
FYI: i believe that St. Jude's is non-denominational, not Christian.

If that were the case, it would be called "Mr. Jude's."
Seriously, it is non-denominational. They accept patients of any denomination. The same goes for accepting contributions.

It does take a little bit of effort to find the truth.

I have a tendency to only donate to groups where the money I donate goes to the needy only. That limits it to very few groups.

Especially if it fits their way of thinking.
We give to St. Judes every month, good to know about the other ones
GSA is part of United Way like BSA. Yes, the stuff that kids pedal for fundraising is very expensive, and, unfortunately, not a lot of it goes to the kids or their cause.

One thing that people do not understand about Military charities is that when a Veteran is hurt while he is doing his duty, the Fedeal Government pays for all his medical bills and needs for the rest of his life. So I would like to find out how much money these Veteran charities are getting from the American people and how much the board that runs the charities are getting for their salaries out of the money they collect from people. I bet you that it is quite staggering.
