Yes, it is a very interesting place. I checked it out and learned that it is the only open water quaking bog in the state of Illinois. In one of my all time favorite books, Thoreau's Method: A Handbook For Nature Study, author David Pepi details how to submerge oneself in bog until just your head rests on the surface. He says "Rest your head on a pile of sphagnum moss if you like. Its far more pure and antiseptic than the sack of chicken feathers you're used to" I imagine bog sitting is discouraged these days. It looks like a place I'd like to visit. Thanks for sharing your images.
