I am not a dog person but I would not own a pit bull. Too unpredictable. As an owner you are responsible when the dog bites somebody. Judge Judy keeps a file of the many times a pit bull mauls or bites a person...K.A.N.

As a child I was attacked by a golden retriever. You never hear about some one being attacked by a golden retriever . Does Judge Judy keep a log on all dog attacks or just pit bulls? She seem to sensationalise everything, besides that she is a nut. If a real judge acted like that they would lose their position.

Why is it that the people with the least experience and knowledge always think they are experts. I had Duke for 10 years, he never went after anyone and I trusted him more than I would many people. His best friend was a very large toad who decided to live in the kennel with Duke. The toad left about a month after Duke passed away.

Perhaps some will take exception to my thoughts on this but, this breed should be eliminated. They are simply too unpredictable and dangerous. Not all, but 95% give the rest of the breed a bad rap.

And...just like that, I am done with this thread...even though I want to comment on Judge Judy so badly. Thank you for the lively discourse folks, but I have to go snuggle on the sofa with my not so dangerous, pretty darn predictable and ever so lovable pit bulls now.

A tv judge who gets it wrong more often than right in a strictly legal sense shouldn’t be your source of opinion, or admit it is.

Bad dog owners, usually not the dogs.

Sure, each and every attack by a Pit Bull… each and every person who was mauled and, in many cases killed by a Pit Bull… they've ALL been because of "bad owners". Yeah, right, sure. You've got to be kidding me.

Why does this entire post and replies seem like it has been here before. Same comments by the same people or at least the same often repeated stereotypes, most wrong.

Without the Internet and UHH, most of us would be asleep in front of the TV. This is the modern form of sitting around talking.

You might add "If someone annoys you, write the check and I'll cash it for you."

There are no absolutes, but I stand firmly by my statement that socialization is the problem more often than not. I also am not saying that being around any dog that you don’t have to be situationally aware, you do. Some dogs more protective than others. You can be as full of fear as you want but you are not using your reasoning skills if you can’t make the not so subtle distinctions. To indict the entire breed because of your personal fears is silly. By your statement it seems that you believe all of the breed are ill behaved and aggressive. Yeah right, sure. You’ve got to be kidding me.

Definitely shepherds!

Transylvanian shepherd below.

"Hey, Alexandru, we're missing about a dozen sheep. Any idea what happened to them?"
"Sorry. Can't help you." 😁

I must disagree. Those dogs are dangerous. Read the statistics on dog bites.

You obviously have never had a Pitty, mine has NEVER been aggressive, and another fun fact the moon is made of green cheese…
