I seem to wake up about every two hours. I roll over, look at the clock, and groan. Then I try to go back to sleep. I've seen several articles...
Try reading Shakespeare. Worked for me in college.
I've always thought that "if a person is tired, they will go right to sleep."
After retiring from work, (my third retirement), I started having problems with staying asleep.
My brother suggested that a small glass of wine, would help. Man, was he correct.
I was never a wine drinker before that, but now just one glass of [red] wine (prescribed by my
doctor), I wander toward the bedroom, and "Zonk" right out, while my wife is still trying to go to
sleep. She gets about 2 hours of sleep each night, but I wake up at 6 a.m., ready to start the day.
The stresses added by watching the TV news, and media, can put us all in an early grave.
That's funny....I start playing solitaire on my (electronic), tablet, and suddenly find that I have been playing the card game in my sleep.
The programmers of the solitaire card games, say that it's good therapy for (elders). At 76, I don't remember much about that person's credentials.

I've heard a good comfortable mattress is essential for a decent night's sleep, of course they don't come cheap!

Once you learn to turn yourself off...I can sleep on the floor...anywhere.
Have you tried making love to your partner at this time? It might help!

Don't see it coming...and boom.
Start reading anything and when you realize you have read the same sentence three times turn off the light and you will go to sleep.
