26. Gotta read the "screen" carefully.

Not quite sure how you got to 26, especially if you were careful.

First, I initially found the "device" to be two, small table four, and the toilet paper 6.

Then we would have 6 + 4 x 5. I say five, because the number on the screen of the "device" changed from two to five. 4 x 5 = 20 + 6 = 26.

But if we count table legs, and the number of rolls, the final result is 3 x 5 = 15 + 4 = 19.

The OP explained the answer on page 9 = 19.

Hi there puzzlers - have a go at this one - suggest an answer but DON'T give your method (I want to keep people guessing for a bit) - I'll post the solution in a few days time!

Enjoy

The values for the pictures are different. A table with three legs does not equal a table with four legs. Different picture, different value. Same with the rolls.
Table is 3 not 4, rolls are 4 not 6.

I vote in favor of multiple answers being correct. 😂

I think you're on to something there, Jerry. It's a cute, fun puzzle, but there is no mathematical link leading to an answer.

The first equation shows 3 identical icons (clocks) that represent three numbers that added together will yield "6". Based on the equation, the clock icon must represent the number "2".

The 2nd and 3rd equations bring in additional icons whose values can be determined from those equations.

The fourth equation is not mathematically linked to the others. For example, just because a four-legged table represents the number "4" in the first three equations, doesn't mean that a three-legged table has to represent the number "3".

The fourth equation brings in a new set of icons that are only pictorially, not mathematically, linked to the first three equations. Therefore, you can assign any values to these icons and come up with any answers you want.....

[How's that for overthinking? 😁]
