Hi there puzzlers - have a go at this one - suggest an answer but DON'T give your method (I want to keep people guessing for a bit) - I'll post the solution in a few days time!

Enjoy

12 is what I came up with.

I change my number to 35. Didn’t notice that drafted table had one missing leg.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR HAVING A GO! - sadly some gave out the method but hey ho, that's life. THE CORRECT ANSWER IS...............19
(The order of operations is part of the key so the multiplication is the first bit to do on the answer final line) - then you have to note that the value of the table is the number of legs so tables with 4 legs = 4, table (in final row has 3 legs so = 3). Then the clock's value changes its value to equal the time shown (=5 on last row). If it's of any consolation it's easy to miss (at first sight) the table legs and the clock time.
THANKS EVERYONE FOR HAVING A GO! - sadly some gave... (show quote)

I’ll change my answer again. I didn’t know there was a pecking order to the processes.
Now I’m at 19.

look again this table only has 3 legs, there are less rolls, the second operator is not an addition.

I am going with 24. 5x4=20 +4 =24. In a mathematical equation, multiplication is performed before addition.
