Shows how real beauty is everlasting. Can't imagine 90% of contemporary models will ever come close to such recognition. Nice share.
Really good photos of some beautiful cars.
Beautiful automobiles and excellent set of photos, Tom.

Nice shots, Tom!

I'll take the red one. Well, maybe the green one. Well, hell, just go ahead and send me that supercharged silver one. It's bound to meet my need for speed.

Amazing photos, Tom, of fantastic cars. Dammit!! I'm running out of superlatives!
Thanks a lot, Mel.
Don't feel like the lone ranger, my friend. You and your work have had me diving for every dictionary, desk reference on creative writing book, anything else that would keep me from embarrassing myself when responding to your posts.
Even the public library ask me to curtail some of my visits. Some of their elderly regulars were concerned that I might be be scouting the place, planning future robberies.
Now those are cars have personality. Beautiful vehicles. A lot more beauty in those 3 cars then anything put out by today's cars manufactures.

In the latter 1920's into the mid 1930's Duesenberg built cars for the elite of the period. Hollywood stars flocked to them, captains of industry wouldn't drive anything else. If you had the money, you had to have a Duesenberg. It was that simple.
These cars weren't just for looks. The buyers wanted an equal dose of performance. The three shown here all share a 420 C.I. straight 8 cylinder engine with double O.H.C. The first and third cars put out 265 H.P. The second car ( silver ) was supercharged and boasted 320 H.P. It was noted by Duesenberg as capable of running 104 M.P.H. in second gear. They all had 3 speed stick shift transmissions.
Car # 1. !930 Duesenberg Lebaron Barrelside. Only five of these cars were built.
Car #2. 1936 Duesenberg SNJ Rollston Convertible Coupe.
Car #3. 1929 Duesenberg J-108
In the latter 1920's into the mid 1930's Duesenber... (

Beautiful cars well photographed!

Thanks, Chase, for looking in.
Very few cars from the 40's onward broke the mold on auto design. There were a few, but not very many.

The excitement of seeing cars like this is the driving force that keeps me active on the car show circuit.

There's an unwritten rule that prevails in these world-class shows. Get close, look all you want, but no touching. That's a good thing, otherwise I'd get callouses, from running around and hugging cars.
See you.

Not only do I hear that, but I also understand it as well.

Spectacular vehicles
Thanks for dropping by. They are as spectacular as they come. When you can get close, real close, and notice all of the little touches....your appreciation for those that produced these cars just goes off the charts.
