In the latter 1920's into the mid 1930's Duesenberg built cars for the elite of the period. Hollywood stars flocked to them, captains of industry wouldn't drive anything else. If you had the money, you had to have a Duesenberg. It was that simple.
These cars weren't just for looks. The buyers wanted an equal dose of performance. The three shown here all share a 420 C.I. straight 8 cylinder engine with double O.H.C. The first and third cars put out 265 H.P. The second car ( silver ) was supercharged and boasted 320 H.P. It was noted by Duesenberg as capable of running 104 M.P.H. in second gear. They all had 3 speed stick shift transmissions.
Car # 1. !930 Duesenberg Lebaron Barrelside. Only five of these cars were built.
Car #2. 1936 Duesenberg SNJ Rollston Convertible Coupe.
Car #3. 1929 Duesenberg J-108
Beautiful, both cars and photos.

Thanks for your support.
It's not easy to accept being humbled by a car. But when anything is recognized as being the best of it's kind in the world, it deserves a huge dose of respect.
