Ya forgot half time 15 mins, I record them and and watch them in a little over a hour

While there are a few exceptions and variations, the norm is 7 or 8 minute program blocks (sometimes 6 minutes) interrupted by 3-4 minute commercial blocks. A recorded 60 minute program can easily be watched in 35-40 minutes.
On anything but football we DVR the program and quickly scan through the ADS. iT BECOME TIRESOME TO WATCH THE SAME ADS, AD NAUSEUM. Pun intended.

However, the thing about commercials on TV, or anywhere, is most insult the intelligence of the viewer. Admittedly, I anm not the brightest bulb in the string, but when I see commercials that are so stupid and demeaning, I want to avoid that product.
