Thankfully, most people guess me to be in my 50's.[/quote

I get that too but don't let it go to your head...they're just being kind!

I'm only 73 and still play hockey (I skate with a 86 and 76 year-olds) so I don't complain. At my age, my father was in a wheelchair. I had an older neighbor (now 88?) who remarked aging is difficult, but it is better to be looking down on the grass than up from below.

I am 79 and just happy to be alive and halfway cognizant.... Most of my friends are dead, in a nursing home or demented. Be glad you are still able to make comments on this page and think about all those that would like to but can't. Remember " Be Here Now " from back in the day ? Well now, its " Living In The Now ". Try and stay young mentally and realize this is only a passing phase; look forward to changes...Make adjustments; eyes going, try audio books. Legs going, try Macro or closeup in your house ! Mind going, tune in to jeopardy as you have your afternoon tea and biscuit with Ken... Its ALL GOOD... Enjoy life !

I think doing good for your community helps keep a person young at heart. Staying active helps the body stay young. Like they say...use it or lose it. Keep it up.... its good for you!

I've been blessed with great health. I'm 99 (100 on Valentines Day]. I try to stay active by trying to eat healthy.
Collard greens out of my garden, cornbread, sweet potatoes and sausage. I love to fish and plant 2 huge gardens a year. Lots of squash in the spring and greens in the fall which I open to community for free. Normally 125-175 families will come and pick. I enjoy meeting and talking to each one to find out who they are and their family relations. I generally know someone they are related to. It gives me satisfaction in giving but also I like the fellowship.
I've been following this forum for years and have learned a lot about photography. I started several years ago enlarging the prints to 30x20. And some as large as 96"x48" on foam core of some local springs. People love the large life size prints.
I always have a purpose to get up in the morning whether it's the garden, going fishing, taken pictures, or studying about how to cook on a new grill etc.

Typed by my son... I don't type very fast!

There used to be someone here who ended each post here with "I wake up in the morning and I'm feelin' good, because I stretch out my arms and I don't hit wood!"

Iy only sucks at 75 when I say so. Working with a Nikon P1000 and Z6. My expectations will always continue to exceed my results most of the time.

I'm 79 and so far, so good. Given the alternative, I'd rather be 79 than not. My father lived to be 82, but all other relatives died younger. He smoked for most of his life, too.

I'm also fond of meeting and talking with people. I especially enjoy talking to strangers because you don't really know each other and they haven't yet figured out what they don't like about you.
