They were formerly "ImageMeisters" I think, and claim to have originated the process for printing Dye-sub on metal. They've done three very nice large prints for me, but I won't do any more until I have a calibrated monitor, so I won't have to do a lot of back and forth till it comes out right.
Good plan. Monitor calibration is THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do, if you print your own, OR use a lab.
Every modern photo lab in the world worth using will follow ICC color management protocols. The end result of that is that if you use a hardware and software solution to calibrate a decent, photo-and-graphic-arts quality monitor, your prints should match your display pretty darn closely.
Decent monitors can be had for under $500. Decent calibration kits can be had for under $300. If you print, especially on metal, these expenses will SAVE you money on remakes, reprints, lost time, shipping charges, blood pressure meds, and headache remedies.
Thanks Bill. I actually had a very good analog monitor but gave it away in a fit of downsizing when I switched to Apple. Vivid Metal Prints recommended a brand to go with, Asus if i remember correctly.
I Would prefer to use my 14" Macbook Pro. Do you know if they can be calibrated with a kit?
I print on 16 x 20 metallic paper from meridian and very happy with them. Never printed on metal, metal

I have used RedRiver metalized paper with stunning results. But metal prints tempt me...

To me, metal is ideal for many--I would say most--landscapes/cityscapes and night skies images (milky way, etc.). Metal's vibrance and clarity can't be matched by canvas, or by most paper prints. In a photography gallery of which I am a member, probably two-thirds of the 18 members are essentially landscape photographers. This gallery sells more prints on metal than canvas and framed paper prints combined. I think that's because most of the images sold are landscapes.
Anyone use MetalMouth or Miller's???

The 14-inch and 16-inch Apple Silicon MacBook Pros require special instruments for calibration. The factory calibration is very accurate, so unless you go to Apple’s site and follow their calibrator recommendation, I would simply set the brightness to a medium level when adjusting images. Make test prints and adjust the brightness until the print density and monitor brightness are close.
TURN OFF all the Display’s auto adjustments (Automatically adjust brightness, True Tone, and Night Shift). View prints under 5000K light at EV 10 (referencing ISO 100 on an incident meter).
If that isn’t close, you may need to calibrate an external monitor.

More spam I do not need, I was getting perhaps 50 phone calls a day all junk calls Magic Jack added a needed random number to my phone number and robocalles were thus blocked.

I think they spell “shiny” different than you. I’m not gonna pass judgement on which is better.
But, yes, theirs is more correct. 😜🤪

Hey Mr perfect
Theirs should be their's as in their is

Completely wrong. “Theirs” is a possessive pronoun used to replace the possessive “their” followed by a noun. In this case I used “theirs” in place of saying “their spelling”. “Their’s” is never correct. As a contraction of “their is” it’s just not possible since “their” is always followed by a noun. Now you could have “theirs is” but the contraction would be “theirs’s” and it’s not really a valid contraction.
So true. but does their's make a great metal print? There's the proof??? Or should it be where's the proof? or wheir's the proof? Either way, it's not their there. Nor here...
