I went to see the birds, and they were not doing much, so I tried to do a few different things.
Here is one.

I'd hang that one TopCat. How did you make it?

Thank you

I was trying slow shutter speeds and this one worked. I held the camera on the railing so as to minimize the camera movement.
I never thought of this, but these guys were not doing anything, so I had in improvise.

In my mind, when shooting flocks, you need to get at least ONE bird in good focus!

You are right, but in this case I was using a slow SS because I wanted to focus on the movement. I have several others with everyone in motion, and a bunch with the birds flying, in motion.
I am still experimenting with the SS that will give me what I want, but a sharp bird is not what I was going for.
