A sixty year old bottle of Listerine was recently discovered and put up for auction and sold to a group for 2.1 thousand dollars

With their winning bid, the group decided to pop the cork and see just what they had purchased.

Each assemble with their own white paper tasting cups.

The old green liquid was poured. Cups were lifted. Each participant gargled.

Sounds of.....Arrrrrrgggghh...yuch.....that's' terrible, awful stubb.....could be heard....."just what we expected!!!" "Worth every penny"

I expected as much. Years ago, a friend sent me a photo of Mercurocrome. Sadly, it is not made anymore. But I referred to it in the Pharmacy business as “Satan’s Spit!”

My post is a satire of the recent discovery of a bottle of whiskey that was casked nearly 100 years ago and bottled about 50 years ago. It sold for over 2 million dollars.

I would like a sip of that whiskey. I’ll enjoy it with a nice cigar. Just don’t tell my wife!

Seen this story , there was 40 bottles made at that time , but almost none left today . Paying 2 M for a bottle of anything is border criminal .

As I remember, Listerine back then really did taste horrible, just thinking about it does not bring good memories.

I was okay until, "Each participant gargled." Sniffing it should have been enough.

There are two guys on YouTube who eat old food that vierwers send them. I wonder if they are able to buy life insurance.

What about food lasting decades? Most natural food (the healthy stuff) will deteriorate, decay, decompose, and get moldy if left unattended for only a short period of time. But not McDonald's French Fries! ... one such experiment was done, and those French Fries were the same as they were 10 years ago. Are you sure that you want to eat McDonald's Fries?

Don't get McDonald's so called " milkshake " . Got one forgot and left it in the car over night, summer time, hadn't changed from the day before, settled melted or anything just warm. Last one of those what ever you want to call it.

You may be right about Mercurocrome not being made any more but you can buy Mercurochrome on Amazon for about $6 for a 1 oz bottle.
