AI WARNING

I am really trying to figure out this composite thing. This is a relatively simple three layer composite. The girl on the rock with the ocean is the background layer. I process the background in ACR. I used Generative Expand to add to the left side making room for image two, Triton. I placed Triton where I thought he looked good. I made him larger than normal (I think) because he is, after all, a god. I burned the highlights on Triton a little bit. I added a bit of fog from a brush, and flattened the image. I did a final adjustment in ACR and this is the result.

This is beautiful, but your B&W had more "mood."

It’s a wall hanger. Just not sure what room it would go in. You did a nice job with the coloring. Certainly not over done.

The only thing technically I found that looks like needs fix is a tiny horizontal bit of gold color just in front of Triton's body. Since this is not an attempt at reality, the relative sizes are only important in how you want to tell your story.

The bright areas on Triton and the girl's shoulder suggest a small "spotlight" type of light source, which add a lot of interest and mood IMO. Keeping the colors muted works well.

For me, the more fanciful and unique the scene, the more successful your results have been, Jack.

This is lovely. I think I prefer your black and white treatment for the drama. This feels like a gentle summer rain. The other feels like a tumultuous thunderstorm.

Thanks Linda, a bit of him I missed with the Clone Brush. Many people have told me I have trouble with reality.
