I saw him out by my feeder today, so I waited for him.
He came back and I started to take a picture, and he must have heard the camera because he looked at me for a long time.
Then he went back to eat.

I agree, and he was just looking at me.

Thank you. I got him in a very different pose.

Wonder what they will change his name to?

I'm afraid to think about it. The Blue-throated Hummingbird is now the Blue-throated Mountain-gem. I guess it's not a hummingbird anymore. I am feeling rebellious I think I'll go back to:

Duck Hawk--Peregrine Falcon
Pigeon Hawk--Merlin
Sparrow Hawk--American Kestrel
Audubon's Warbler--Yellow-rumped Warbler
Myrtle Warbler--Yellow-rumped Warbler
Oldsquaw--Long-tailed Duck

I could go on but it's getting late.

I agree, I think that it is crazy. Why? The names do not make any difference.
Just like taking Audubon's name off. It doesn't accomplish anything.
Maybe I am just getting old.
