Naomi,

Yes those shots were taken last winter in Charny and St-Jean-Chrysostome. Probably means nothing to you, but they are located almost in front of Québec City across the St. Lawrence River.

So far, except for the highlands, we have had no snow which is very exceptionel.

#1. Rimouski, 3 hours NE of Q-City last winter.

#2. Pointe-au-Père Lighthouse, next to Rimouski

#3. taken in February, 2009

Oh it means a lot to me. Believe it or not every picture I see...I want to see it on the map. I've loved maps since I was a little girl second to photography:)
Thanks for all the snow pictures...all these pictures have made me miss the snow even more.
I've made a decision to see snow next winter. Don't know where yet but...I will :)

Maybe you will have a white Christmas!

Thank you for the very beautiful photos. The last one is very clear, like the next morning after a snow storm. The red roofs and anything color stands out so crisp. I really like the fence leading me down the hill. Really nice!

Well due to GW, we do not get those -30's much anymore, but it will get down to -20°. What we have though is the windchill factor. I spent 32 years working in shipyards and one time I did a 12-hr shift in a -55° windchill, in the bottom of a drydock. The coldest windchill I've experienced was back thirty years or so ago, ~-70°. On the brighter side, below -40° the human body does not recognize the change. Gee, that was a relief to learn that!
