Final edit, I promise

A little negative clarity, my own sky and cat added. Among other edits: Topaz Studio 2 Palette Knife & Oil 1 at 62 percent opacity.

Interesting effects going on there. The open window, with one window over the other, has neat opacity and “sparkling” going on. It seems as though the blurring to the left of it, through the open window, would be less blurred though. Is that because it’s late tonight and I need to quit? I really like where the windows overlap. That’s neat.

Doing a search the result says multi times, " TOPAZ STUDIO 2 plus PHOTOSHOP OIL PAINT FILTER."
From this I gather that the " Palette Knife & Oil 1 " is from Photoshop??

I am not seeing palette knife effect only oil painting. In my painting days, I ended up with the palette knife being my favorite loosen-up-artist tool, brushes were too exacting and confining.

Thanks very much, Ellen. Sometimes our fantasies don't hold up to common-sense or logical observations

I think I will set a goal of attempting more fanciful creations, along the lines of my dancing flamingos here, posted in September. Winter will be a good time to tap into the right brain and let the logical side hibernate.

I'm very grateful for your interest and participation in the forum!

I use PS Elements, not Photoshop. Topaz Studio 2 is no longer offered for sale, so perhaps that's the reason for lack of Google results?

Within Studio 2, the filter is under Add Look - Artistic. There is also a Palette Knife and Oil 2

Here's a screenprint of what you see after selecting the filter. This one has minimal options for adjusting; however several filters have 3 or more separate sliders for tweaking.

I know what you mean about not being able to see certain effects on a computer screen. Sometimes close examination is required, and that shouldn't be the point.

All the best, Don!

On the wrong side of the window? Maybe. On the right side of vision and execution? Definitely!

The final version is truly wonderful. I really, really like it! It would be nice printed on canvas.
