I own one and love it , it has stunning image quality, and superb build quality at an affordable price.

Cheers

Here one shot I made with this lens. The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, California, USA. Sony A7RIV camera, Sigma Art 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN lens, 24mm, ISO 200, f8, 1/80 second handheld.

Click on download to see better image quality.

Cheers and best to you.

Great video tour of a lens factory! Sigma makes that lens in L-Mount (Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma full frame bodies) and Sony configurations. It's a great alternative to the much more expensive zooms from Panasonic and Leica.

I own this fantastic lens. At the time it was a lot cheaper than the Sony G lens an just as good. It is my walk around lens.

I have two Sigma Art Lenses for my Sony A 7 IV 30 mm f1.4 and 24-105 f f4
Both are the older sony/minolta A mount lenses and are coupled to the E mount body using Sony adapter. Both are superb lenses. Strangely enough, for those who believe that newer is better , my sharpest lens is an old Minolta 50 f 2.8 macro.

I have the Sigma 18-35mm art f/1.8 and it's a stunner. Crop lens I bought for my old Sony A mount system.

I've kept it because of it's image quality and about the only zoom out there which is a constant f/1.8.
The cherry on top is in FF...at 35mm...it covers the full sensor. Back off 2 or 3 mm...it doesn't...so you get a crop lens and a FF 35mm f/1.8.

Voigtlander also makes their glass in Japan (Cosina).

Until Panasonic Leica released their 10-25mm f/1.7 and 25-50mm f/1.7 (identical twin) zooms for filmmakers, a lot of folks bought that Sigma 18-35 Art lens in Canon mount, and put it on a MetaBones SpeedBooster for Micro 4/3 cameras. Paired with a Lumix GH4/GH5, it was a go-to package from 2017-2020.

It provided the full frame equivalent field of view of 25.6mm to 49.7mm at f/1.2 for light, and f/2.5 for depth of field performance. (SpeedBoosters are focal length reduction lenses containing five glass elements. They minify (shrink) the projected image cone and concentrate the light intensity over a smaller area.)

Fascinating to see the manufacturing process. Also explains why lens repair is so costly!
