I have a leaf vac that I pull around my yard, and I had to order a new hose for it. I've had it for fifteen years, so I guess I can't complain. I ordered the hose on 11/2. I received an invoice yesterday - five days after I ordered it. There's still no information about shipping it.
I keep telling the leaves that I'm waiting for a part, and it should be here - eventually. They don't care about "eventually." They want to get off the lawn and be piled up with their friends and relatives. Amazon sells similar hoses for less money, but there's no guarantee they would fit. I'll have to wait.
It's you that want the leaves to be piled up. The leaves are happy where they are.

No! The leaves want to join the party in the big pile with friends and relatives. I just got an email from UPS. The hose should arrive on 11/11.

Keep running them over with the tractor until they pulverize and enrich the soil.... I stopped picking up and burning a few years ago.... Put on a mulching blade if you choose... WHO picks up the leaves in the forest ? WHO fertilizes that ground ? You can even have a cold beverage of your choice as you scoot around on 4 wheels...

Funny you should mention that. There is a tractor for sale down the road.
We can't burn leaves here - fortunately. If I leave them on the lawn - no more lawn. I run over the lawn with the mower and mulch them before they get too deep, but that's only a temporary, partial solution.
I take a philosophical approach to leaves:
If God didn’t want the leaves on the ground, He would have left them on the trees.
I just received an email from the company. I should receive the hose on Nov 11 - nine days after I placed the order.
Suck 'em up with a lawnmower. Not the mulching type.

Chuckle! I worked with a guy from southern India in the winter, and he was honestly puzzled why we left all those dead, leafless trees standing; why we didn't cut them down!

I'll bet you could get a rake sooner than that at Home Depot and soothe the angst of your leaves!!

Fascinating, Jerry. Thanks so much for sharing that.
Probably manufacture was out of stock and they had to wait for UPS to deliver to them.
