One time I brought a canon 5dii and 70-200 2.8 and a Nikon d50 to San Jose Camera, I got $650 for them, from that time I learned the lesson and became very careful with the temptation to collect more equipment

That is why I will be listing here -- I don't think camera stores set out to lowball people selling to them, it's just that they must make a profit to stay in business. That doesn't mean we have to sell to them. If we can conduct business between individuals, it often means a better price for the buyer and less loss for the seller.

If there is a nearby school, they may be interested in a donation of a camera and lens or two. This may be the best item to give to a school that needs a photography curriculum.

We need another generation of photographers willing to enjoy this meaningful craft.

Nice idea! About a year ago, I had a guitar amp that I didn't know what to do with. I decided to donate it to the music department of the grammar school around the corner from me. They were very appreciative
