Here's a shot taken while I was still in school. One of the ways I made extra money was to take yearbook pictures. I set-up a 'studio' in our apartment and charged $5 for a head-shot (the local professional studio charged around $25).

Anyway, during one of these sessions, a friend sat our oldest son on the chair and handed him his slide-rule (I went to an engineering school) and this was one of the shots that I got.

Now I wish I could report that our son went on to become an engineer like his dad, but instead he became a chef. He's now 53-years old and a brand executive at one of the largest multi-brand dining and hospitality corporations in the US. But all is not lost as his youngest daughter in now a student at my alma mater, majoring in Chemistry.

Sally and I finally got to go out and about today. Temps were in
the uppers 60's, so we grabbed our two puppies and headed
out to Codorus State Park, which originally was known as
Project 70.

Built in the early 70's, several large farms and unknown
number of private homes were acquired by the state, torn
down to the footers, then lots of excavation, add a dam and
months later it became a beautiful recreation area.

We wanted to go out today because the drought in this area
has lowered the lake by 5'-10'. Not the worse we've seen; back
15 years ago, drought took the lake down over 20'.

Today's excursion also gave me the chance to re-familiarize myself
with the Sony RX-10 which I originally bought for my granddaughter,
but got back after I gave her all my Canon gear.

Both nice looking cars. I had and loved my 72 MG Midget and then I had a red 1990 Mazda Miata with the bug head lights and the matching hardtop. I applaud your style.

Yup, the bug lights. Along the way, one of the owners sold the hard top to the one I have. :( C'mon out AndyT and we'll take it for a spin.

UPDATE: Just found out today the lake was 12-1/2 feet below normal and dropping...
