I got my hands the brand new D500 a little over a year ago and my D7500 is only aroud 3 years old, so I'm not in any hurry to make the switch to mirrorless yet. I have checked out a couple Z's at a local Best Buy, but I didn't like the way they felt in my hand.

Glad to hear that you still have DSLR. You do really good work with it. Today, I went to a local Expo for photography, thinking that I wanted to upgrade my oldest camera (Nikon D3100) to match my newer Nikon D5300. Don't really want to pay for a new camera (thinking used) but I also got a great explanation of Mirrorless. WOW. Sounds great. So many of the things that can be harder to accomplish, sound REALLY easy (track a moving object [like a bird], see what your settings will look like before actually taking the picture [I take so many pictures trying to get the settings/look I want], focusing, etc. I was going to put a post on the Photography Discussion to see what people say. I'm really have a hard time making up my mind.

Beauty everywhere. I love that spider Tim. 👍👍

Thanks so much, Tony for the kind words and I'm
glad you enjoyed these images. As for the spider,
well, let's just say he experienced an untimely death.

Many of today's submissions are food related. Prepare to be hungry, but Thanksgiving is coming. And I leave you with a "golden" haiku.........written by my silly sister.

Pg 33 - All that food looks amazing, Roxie. What time
is Thanksgiving dinner?

Great photos and love your sisters haiku!

Thanks, Joe, so glad you liked these. Oh, that grumpy looking sea creature was a Gulf Toadfish.

You seem like such an awesome individual - and your shots never cease to amaze and blow me away You seem like a fine wine - you keep getting better and better as time goes by 🔟

Joe, I am truly honored by your kind comments. There is
no doubt in my mind that we could be fast friends.

As far as a fine wine, I'd compare myself to a nice
mellow Merlot or perhaps an aged Malbec.

P. 26 The color of the water in your 2nd picture is awesome!! What a catch! And I love the pictures and the colors of the leaves toward the end of your posting.

Thank you very much, Lee, for your kind words. I'm
really glad you liked these images. The first two
pictures were taken maybe 10-15 minutes before
those beautiful clouds turned black and opened up,
drenching us in a major downpour. But hey, we were
on vacation in the Outer Banks, in one of the neatest
little towns (Manteo) you could image.

Manteo was the home to Andy Griffith for many years
and it's said that he drew many of his experiences there
and used them in his TV town of Mayberry.

Breathtaking, Tony. Love the burst and geometry in #3 and Maine in the morning (#5) and the delicateness of #6.

Thank you for your very encouraging comments Pat. I appreciate them more than you know. But, actually, that seaside photo was made at sunset in the Monterey peninsula.

Thank you Joe for hosting "Golden Hues ". I really enjoyed the submissions. Got me more in the Autumn spirit. Florida doesn't really get Autumn very often.
