Dee's mom had a lot, and I mean a lot of costume jewelry that nobody else in the family cared about. So we made good use of a lot of it.
And we dig them out of the closet every year not long after Thanksgiving.

I've been going through mine, but I won't be making anything out of it - I don't need another "thing". My Mom made similar - infact I was just thinking about them as she used old jewelry too.
Unfortunately I live on the SE coast, palm trees, pine trees and Oak, not a lot of color, Used to have a Maple in my back yard at a house I rented, Wonder if it's still there/ Maybe if I ask nice the current renters will let me photograph it.

Fireworks are awesomely gold ✨✨✨✨✨, but I sure hope one of those horses didn't blow up from being over-ridden 😱
I road every day no matter what the weather. I do remember once, I groomed and saddled him; road outside and across the road into a field where I had previously made a trail around the field; made one circle; and then back to the barn. It was just too cold and snowy to continue.
