I'm not the Admin, but I've been here for a while, and been involved with running my own forum(s) as well. In the interest of fair play and bringing new users up to speed, I thought I'd post a few general thoughts on posting, replying, and general use of the forum......
Good to know! Thanks! I am new here and found this very helpful!

Ok dear bunny, now make this a page under your profile and link it to your signature so that it will published every time you make a jest!!!
You can even make it a book as you can link the pages together and create a comprehensive, informative utilitarian input that all can comprehend, I should hope.
(I have not broken all the codes in there like centering, heading and so forth but soon, really soon, I'll just ask the ugly admin!!!) :D

There was some talk about making this a 'sticky' but it was never done. So I just refer to it every now and then to bump it back to the top of the list. Most people have said it's a useful post. I just don't want to look like I'm trumpeting my own clarinet, so to speak.. :)
Well, being a blues brother wannabe, you should. There is no trumpeting here you say it correctly and to the point. But do create pages on your profile (and link them together this go going back and forth of this board kinda drive me nuts...)
I am new and do read the posts. If anyone wants to
*hi-jack* my posts that is fine by me. I am here to learn and appreciate the help.
I thought I was the only one who hates people re-doing my pics, my cousin does this constantly on Facebook and it annoys the heck out of me, but to save face I say nothing.
Thank you everyone for the help, us newbies apprciate it.

Alright already...I did. Just not sure how many people will look at my profile to find it.
I already sent folks to this thread and now I will send them to your page.

I don't think any of the new users are reading this, really, not one comment from anyone new and almost every thread I go on to I see them doing almost all of the above.
Eric did send one of the new users to MWAC site which states some of the same stuff.
Well, I am reading it, and you don't get any newer than I am.
I found it to be very informative Thank YOU

I am a new user. When I see someone hijacking, I politely PM or post a simple explanation of hijacking and the netiquette. I think it will help if we all do this, POLITELY!!!
Not as 'in your face baby' as me hey? But joke's aside, you are right (PM) I was way too worked up after seeing pope and Obama thread.
I'm a regular here now but still feel like a newbie and I'm reading this all I can say is if someone wants to show me what they mean then play with my photos but I'm still having trouble posting them on here

A slightly revised version of this has now been updated, and can be seen via the "User Pages" link on my profile, which in turn can be seen by clicking my user name. The revisions have to do with the recent ruling about editing other poster's photos.
Glenn, describe your situation and I'm sure someone will be able to help:
1) hardware - PC, max, iPhone, whatever
2) Browser - IE, Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Netscape...?
3) Error message,if any.
After you ATTACH the photo, does its name appear on the attachment line?
Make sure you do NOT do a "PREVIEW" before you SEND, or the attachments are stripped off and you have to do them again.

In adding too this thread for new users, can we have new paragraph finally putting to rest the Canon vs. Nikon debate (just a don't even start it warning would be nice).
Another on what camera to buy
And one just simply stating that MWAC is best poster around.
Thanks!
