CHG_Canon,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Not clear what benefit it is to scroll the whole way down to use that button.
When I click on “home” button. The latest posts show up in each category. I check the ones I am interested in and move on.

The Digest complainers receive a daily email. They don't use that bottom-of-the-page link either. But, you showed you were unaware of where / what the issue was being discussed. I just wanted to clarify.

By using "Filter by Section" or "Home" one can see their watched topics as in the previous format so there's really nothing to complain about. However, I believe UHH administrators defended the change because they felt more users would click on more posts under the new format.

Until I found out how to revert to my old format, I found myself actually clicking on fewer posts. So I'm wondering; has the new formate achieved what the administrators expected?

Like you I didn't like it at first. After I got use to the new way I now have no problem. I was so use to the old way it was set up it really bothered me to see the new. I think you will find it works good either way. At least my old mind has gotten use to this way now.

Me too. Now I’m used the “Filter by Section” link which takes me to the sections I’m subscribed to.

I don’t know how everyone else feels about the new format that UHH is using, but I hate it. I used to look forward to reading the new posts in my favorite sections. They were on my home page everyday when I opened the UHH app, not so much anymore. I now rarely check the UHH app each morning, it is too screwed up. I haven’t a clue as to why UHH changed from the old format.
Maybe I’m too old to adapt to this change, just wondering if other senior reader/photographers feel the way I do.
If UHH stays with this format, I will probably just delete it from my computer. It just frustrates me too much.

Totally agree. Didn't realize it was something UHH did. Let's hope they re-track.

Amen!!!!
They have made it different but certainly not better.
Before you could go to a subscribed section to see only the NEW posts you might have an interest. Now you have to sort thru the clutter of previous posts to find them.

I've found it to be a significant improvement. I can go to the areas of my interest quicker without sorting through items that don't interest me. For me, it provides a more focused experience and a better use of my time. I have even found myself visiting areas for a quick look that I hadn't used much before. Understand that some may have found the new format too much of a change.

Sort thru?? Isn't that what the filter link does?

Paul, most old dogs can’t learn new tricks. Instead, they just bark a lot.

I never clicked on that until you pointed it out. I'll stick with what I do. I just click on Newest Topics, and the last 10 days of posts in the sections I subscribe to show up in order from newest to oldest. Good enough for me.

You're signed into the site, so you can interact via reply / quote reply. The majority of the site 'users' are browsers, not contributors, where the buttons at the top are not relevant. As the OP expresses their question, and many others earlier when the change was made, they consider the Digest the site, where those of us not using the Digest were unaware of any changes.

I don’t know what you are talking about. I start each day and look at this section; that provides me with enough material for the day.

I'm old, but have adapted to the new format.
