While looking at photographs I find myself thinking how I could repeat a similar shot. While driving the landscapes are a series of potential photos.
I am confined to a wheelchair so my perspective is a little different but my mind is that of a photographer maybe someday my skill level can match the shots in my brain.

Anyone can call themselves a Photographer as there is absolutely no barrier to entry as far as qualifications.
All you need is any sort of camera and you are definitely a photographer.
Thus enjoy being a photographer and have fun exploring the world of photography. Use your perspective to your advantage.
How do you know you're not a successful photographer until a clerk at Walmart refuses to print your images?
I always assumed if it didn't say "PHOTOGRAPHER" on your shirt you were an amateur,
Photography can open you mind to really see the world.
Sometimes
you get shown the image
in the strangest of places
if you like for the light

Perhaps, or it just records something.
Jerry, I've recommended indoor macro photography to folks with limited mobility and to those who live in adverse climates and find themselves indoors. The common things around the home can be explored in new and interesting ways when viewed through a macro lens and the kitchen table makes an excellent place to stage sessions.
Nuts, beans, kitchen utensils, pasta, slices of fruit and vegetables, purchased flowers, threads, yarn, needles, water droplets, brush bristles, buttons, leaves, rice, salt, and on and on can be seen in ways not often viewed.

Composition is so important even from a wheelchair. Anyone can take a clear pic especially with the current gear only very few capture that unique look. Your skills will soon catch up. If you can find a local camera club, especially that does polite critiques - invaluable.

The Pentax Forum had a discussion that started because one member said he “takes a photo twice; once with his heart and once with his camera.”
Something to ponder there.
Thank yoy all for the many responses to my post. Some great suggestions and support from many of you.
