I like the whole set Sylvia but like the fact that the waters are tea colored which I gather is not common. Gives the impression that it's a sepia print. I also like that you did not slow the shutter speed to blur the water over the falls. The water, as depicted, supports the impression of turbulence due to the recent heavy rains. I'm probably reading a lot into this that you never intended. A friend of mine observed that if you see someone you admire lost in deep thought, they're probably thinking about lunch. In your case, he might be right.

Happy you enjoyed them Reuss and thank you very much for your comments. The water is coloured due to the sheer force of it bringing the peat down from the hills. I wish I could post some sound from the rushing water it was deafening!
They had a lovely little cafe just near the falls and we had a bite of lunch.

We started out to visit the Falls at Richmond just 30 minutes away from home however the area was closed off due to the police dealing with an incident, so we travelled on to the village of Aysgarth to see the Falls.

Due to the recent storm Babet which caused very strong winds and serious flooding in the UK the rivers have been running high, hence the peat from the hills turning some of the water brown.

Quite a dull overcast day, hope you enjoy the Falls.

Very nice set, but I think that the waterfalls may be a little dark.

Happy you enjoyed them topcat. It was difficult to shoot with the white skies and dark conditions. I tried lots of different settings, but increasing iso etc, caused a whiteout with the water. So the end result was what it looked like.

I know the problems, I have experienced them myself, but you did a good job.

Beautiful set to include leaving the waters untouched. Enjoyable colors and scenery. I wish I had traveled more when we were stationed in England, but alas, we were young and financially strapped in our early years.
