Prefer the impact of the color in the first. This time.

Wife Judy, of Judy's Gardens, says that weeds are just flowers that are growing where you don't want them.
To me, they're just weeds.

Both are great- I can't decide...

Thank you. I was concerned about the B&W version.

Never thought Iā€™d enjoy seeing grass grow so much!

Thank you. Every time I look at it, I keep thinking that I should do something with it. So I finally did.

Funny, I took a very similar picture for the same reason a couple of weeks back.

I think I like the color shot a bit more, but I do like both.

Thank you. I think that I do also. I tried to get more contrast in the weeds, but it didn't work.

Nice--the b&w is my winner.

Thank you. I am torn on the B&W version. Part of it I like, but parts I don't.
I think that there is a B&W version there that I will like, I just have to find it.

Took me a moment to realize they're the same image. A disadvantage of being almost totally colorblind.

Being colour blind you take a lot of great colour pictures. I would never have realized that.

Great attitude, topcat. Sometimes we take what is offered and are pleasantly surprised. I usually prefer color images as in this case.

I got out of my car and I started to walk around, and I saw a Great Egret. So I went back to my car and got my camera, but the egret took off before I could even get to him.
So I had to do something to make it worthwhile to be there.

You are right, you take what is offered.

Both are spectacular, IMHO The color, because it is so beautiful; and the B&W, because it drives focus to the light, lines, and textures šŸ€šŸ€šŸ€šŸ€šŸ€

Thank you, Joe. As usual, I appreciate your observations.

There were no birds at the marsh today, so I took some pictures of the grass.

I really like both images because they show something that is right in front of our noses, but we don't see. That is the patterns that one can see in water if you just look for it. I think these pictures really make that apparent and I like the black and white one because it eliminates the color so that you really see the patterns. Good job.
