I'm starting a new series for myself: A HOLGA 60mm lens in Nikon mount on mt D7100.
Setup in the camera menu as follows:
JPEG setting (I don't feel RAW is gonna improve things much and probably would take the lens character away. An experiment for another time!)
Image size: Medium 13.5 M
Image quality: Fine
ISO 800 (no Auto ISO control)
Active D-Lighting: Auto
Picture Control is a
TMax film emulation downloaded from:
https://nikonpc.com/Toning is done in an old
ON1 standalone download.
Further Brightness/Contrast work was done in
PS-E 14.
While with this Lens, nothing will ever be sharp, they
actually do look a bit better in
Download mode!
The LOMO lens is supposedly an F8 fixed set aperture. Research online says it's more like F22-25!! It certainly is very, very dim in the viewfinder (very pin-hole-ish) (live view on my mirrorless 4/3's cameras is Soooo much easier to use this lens - however I want the larger APS-c sensor for this series).
.....anyway, the 1st five of this series, plus the lens itself :
What a great effect.
And very creative of you to persist thru the process. Wish I had the patience
Great set. Beautiful black and white effect.
