Ok folks I'm back...
Felt good to be shooting again. I paced myself, got worn out by halftime. My timing was off a bit.
But I am not complaining just nice to be out and about.
Here are some shots.
Nikon D-500 coupled with 300mm 2.8.
Nikon D-4
Auto Iso
Auto white balance.

Welcome back Jules! Have to love what you do with the 300mm! I don't think you missed a beat but I'm sure you saying to yourself that you tossed a larger percentage of photos to the burn pile which you would normally nail.

Great set, tight is always tops!

Thanks Rick appreciate the nice words.
Yeah by the half I had enough for the first time. This Thursday the playoffs begin. I will shoot a game that the high school is right around the corner from the house so I may stay a bit longer. I'll see how my energy level is. I take my oxygen with me to the game and when I need a hit I use it for a few minutes.
Good to hear from you.
Jules
Ps I forgot to hit save original in my posts. Been awhile.

Absolutely superb shooting of the action My friends and I should get some money together and fly you out to Chicago to shoot the Bears, hoping that an exemplary photographer such as you would motivate them to actually play better in order to provide excellent shots

Thanks Joe. Nice to be on the field again. Don't complain Raiders are bad, should get rid of the coaching staff, something is not working for sure.

Jules - great to have you back. These shots again prove you are in a class by yourself. We strive to emulate your work.
Was this a day game ? I know you used the 300m 2.8. Are these all wide-open ? I especially like #5 - the eyes ! Tight and crisp. Thanks for sharing with us Jules.
Best, Paul

Sorry you are right something is wrong. Now, you know I live in Overland Park right across state line from KC and I love it. My wife still doesn't like the Raiders no matter what. She has always lived here so she will always be a Chief. Now I am from Florida (Dunedin) just north from Clearwater. I on the other hand like the Raiders now that they are in Vegas. Oh well. Almost forgot, how is Barb doing? Tell her Hi! Thanks BE SAFE!!

Hi Tom:
Yep good to be back on the field for sure. The oxygen is a very small unit like 5 pounds. I put it in my camera bag. I take a hit when I need to. I carry the 300 2.8 over my shoulder with the D4 the oxigen D500 and 70-200 2.8 in the bag. All I need really to shoot night games.
Barb has been a champ throughout this ordeal starting Aug 15 when I went into the hospital, 3 weeks there and then 2 weeks in rehap. And when I finally came home she had to cook, look after my meds, help me take a shower so she has been really something. God bless her especially after what she went through with the stroke.
Anyway things getting back to normal slow but sure.
Thanks for checking in and take care of those knees.
Be well,
Jules

It does not appear you're rusty. I'm happy to see you out and about. How many frames did you take.
