I want to save the display of a location on Google Earth Pro as a JPG file, or any extension that would treat it as if it were a JPG file. Want to post it on UHH. Is there a way to do this?

Use MS or Mac free print screen, save, adjust, save.
Use a paid screen capture, adjust, save.

You could also press Alt-PrntScr keys together then put the saved picture into your post processing program and save as a JPG.

Howard, my Macbook Air's screenprint function saves as png. Just wanted to alert you that UHH can display png files, as well as jpg.

Yah, I knew that. I just added the part about wanting to post on UHH so the admin. wouldn't move me to "General Chit-Chat"

Do a screen shot of the pic (Windows button + PRT SCR maybe). Load your edit app and the screen shot folder. Open the last screen shot. Save as a JPG.

On a Mac File>Save>Save Image. This will turn on a button over the image to change image settings and a button to save the displayed image. I'm sure there is a similar dialog in Windows.

Windows Snipit app will let you capture all or any part of the screen as a jpg.

If you are a Windows user, you might consider the little free utility called Lightshot. That's what I use.

I have Lightshot, it is not available when you open Google Earth Pro. If you find a way to use it, let me know.

in Microsoft, use snipping tool . to find it, just type it in the search bar. It will save your screen as a jpg.

Launch Lightshot first. Then, when the screen you want is displayed, touch Prtscn. The screen will dim slightly. Use mouse to draw a rectangle around the portion you want.
