LR won't open! After updating to Ventura LR won't open. I get the message LR quit unexpectedly. Canon fixed the printer problem and LR was working just fine. I went to open it today...

After updating to Ventura LR won't open. I get the message LR quit unexpectedly. Canon fixed the printer problem and LR was working just fine. I went to open it today and it just won't open. Adobe is closed for the weekend. I called Apple but the person there kept reading her notes and we tried shutting down the MacBook Pro M1 which didn't do anything. The App is totally unresponsive.

Is your LR completely up to date? They came out with 13.01 to fix bugs almost instantly. Also, have you tried reinstalling LR?

Open up your task manager...(CNTRL ALT DEL)...if you find a copy of Adobe running...close it out...'end task' (right mouse click over app).

Sometimes the program will not close out...and at that point you cannot open another copy.

Maybe by telephone. But there are two parts of Adobe support that are open. Adobe sponsors a user forum full of experts and they have a computer "chat" system staffed by their own techs.

On MacBook it’s Activity Monitor, there are several Adobe Apps and one PS, but no LR.

Sounds like you have the LR icon but no app or your MacBook doesn't know where to find it. Won't hurt you to reinstall.

You can if the Hard drive is not where you keep apps. But why would you want to do that? It's not necessary. Just direct the download where you want LR to live.
