I am sure you know that February is the peak month to photograph birds in the Everglades. By the end of November there should be plenty of them. I visit Shark Valley often, located to the north east side of the park but I have not been very successful photographing the scarce number of birds that seem as if they are going to another part of the park.
I have never seen iguanas in the Everglades but this particular one that you photographed I have not seen anywhere in Florida. The anhinga, as you most probably know, is a common bird in the park and by the end of January their eyes turn blue result of their breeding season. Feathers also show it.
I hope this year will be more productive, it has not been like in the past in recent years.
