I had mine fixed about 5 years ago.It went very well. Recovery was quick with relatively little pain. They gave me a pain pill before I left and some to take at home "just in case". I took one before bed so I could sleep well. I think it was hydrocodone or something like that. At any rate I'm not sure it really did all that much for pain but one possible stated side effect was constipation. That was correct. Damn. That was worse by far than the operation. I spoke with someone else who had a similar experience with that drug. Just a caution.

Mine was on the right side, and it was no problem at all. One thing I always think is strange when I go in "for work" is having the nurses say, "Good luck!" So, this is going to depend on luck?! 😳
