Annular Eclipse

Seems that many people had less than favorable conditions for viewing the Eclipse on 10-14-2023. In Central Texas, we had absolutely perfect weather. This is my photo of the eclipse at its max coverage for my location. Unfortunately, I am about 100 miles away from the optimum view of the "ring of fire". Still, this was a good warm up for the April total eclipse, which we ARE in one of the prime locations for viewing.

I made the drive to Hondo (Central Texas) from East Texas. Austin to San Antonio clear but when I arrived Hondo, cloud cover and rain to the west. Using my extra time, I went due north to Banderas (30 miles) and found clearing skies due to the North wind. Have upload to computer, will process in the next couple of weeks. I was a little surprised at how many people were viewing. This is a precursor to 4/8. Where were you exactly?
