I was referring to the last line in your post.

I have more important things to be concerned about.

No need to reply.

I wasnt the one who was concerned about the duplicate posting, didnt comment on it, didnt try to correct the OP and dont try to police this site. I was simply pointing out that the site is left up to self appointed monitors, it is a mess...a real moderator would be helpful in so many ways. Freeze postings when they go off track, etc.

“Freeze postings…”. Sounds too much like censorship which leaves too much up to the censor’s whims.

Other sites do it all the time...avoids the idiocy of 30 pages of jpg vs. raw, etc. It is responsible content control....to keep content focused and on-point. And when I ran a sub forum here, I had the authority to do just that, delete postings that were inappropriate or place them where they needed to be. It has to happen lest a site devolves to junk...or personal arguments.

It also prevents old zombie threads from re-appearing and ruining a site.

The quote he referenced in the first line was a response made to a <prior> posting.....
THAT's what his post was in response to.
I remember the post and agree with Harry13.

Me too…some people just want to be complainers though.

"For future reference, a post like this might have been better if sent as a private message to the person you are addressing."

Hey, tell that to the guy who jumped on me. He didn't do it in a private message but posted it for all to see. I just responded in kind. I don't know what got his shorts in such a twist and frankly, don't give a rat's patoot. So I posted the same general idea twice in two days. Who gives a d^mn? (I guess maybe the internet police?) As I 've said, I'm 92 and my memory ain't what it used to be. Were I not a graduate of an Ivy League school, I might tell him what to do in no uncertain terms. Not uncertain but simple so that it could be understood. In any case, I'm thru with this BS. I have plenty of time but none to waste on fools!

I just ignore those comments.
MOST of the time.
But I WILL stand up for someone if they were wrongly blasted.
